So often as women we can tend to take on everything and do more than what we are natrually capable of achieving. Why you may ask? Hmmm.. that is up to you but I know that I have this inner need to please and at times even my own wellbeing has come last after that need to please. In my experience as a woman who has suffered burnout at the age of 30, the mistakes I made prior to the burnout are; I had a Blackberry, I loved my job more than I loved myself, I had money issues, I didn't exercise and I didn't eat properly. There are many contributing factors in a breakdown which can lead to depression and anxiety.
It was a long climb out for me and please listen to me when I say that it is best avoided. Do you notice yourself over doing it? If so, how can you make space for you? How can you beging to focus on your wellbeing and taking time out? How can you put your life before your career? If you are struggling financially, I can empathise with you because that is the main contributing factor to my breakdown. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't make my business or career profitable. And in the end, that was what caused me to plunge into the depths of darkness. Now in the depths of darkness I saw the light, and it's imperative to place and empowering meaning on everything that occurs. And the climb out has brought me to a place of inner peace I didn't know before, so I am happy!
The gist of what I am sharing with you is that burnout is avoidable. You are a special woman who has many gifts and you can profit from those gifts from a place of wellbeing. Just think of the Law of Attraction. You prosper from that place of inner wellbeing and inner peace. Begin to find things that you love to do for hobbies, start to exercise daily and eat well. Seek professional help if you are finding it difficult. Any good psychologist can help you with the disease called "over work". So go out, play and enjoy your career after you take care of yourself first.
